Abstract

Records consisting of minutes, case files, and a subject file of chair Ada James documenting the activities of the board. Founded in 1920, authorized by the County Board of Supervisors in 1929, and funded by the James Memorial Fund, the board utilized county programs to aid needy families. Miss James also was interested in an observed increase in the mentally defective population of the county.
